Matthew Crawley, 27, faced a second trial delay in one week on Oct. 2 after medical issues prevented the case’s defense attorney from appearing.
Crawley is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime, and firearm possession with a disqualifying felony conviction in connection to the March 6 shooting of 27-year-old Taijah Addison on the 700 block of Yale Avenue.
Addison, who had a gunshot wound to her upper body, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Crawley was arrested the following day after police reviewed area surveillance footage and identified him as the suspect.
The case was previously postponed Sept. 30, when it was initially set to reach trial. The court granted a two-day postponement until Oct. 2, but it was postponed again.
The case will be reheard in postponement court before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland on Oct. 10.
