BPD Rules March Shooting Was Self-Inflicted

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) ruled a March 27 non-fatal shooting case was self-inflicted.

On March 27, at approximately 12:16 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment. Upon arrival at the hospital, officers located a 27-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was picked up by a family member in the 900 block of N. Eden Street and driven to the hospital. The victim was uncooperative with officers.

Central District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.

The case has been removed from non-fatal shooting numbers.
