The trial of two young men accused of a murder in Baltimore was set by Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland to begin this spring since no plea offer has been extended.
Asian Christopher Johnson, 23, and Chase Josiah Wyche, 24, have been charged with multiple murder and fire-arm related charges linked to an incident that occurred on July. 6, 2024.
The accusations against the pair include two counts of first-degree murder, firearm use in a violent crime, possessing a loaded handgun in his car and on his person.
The assistant state’s attorney led the prosecution for both co-defendants in this case. Roya May Hannah served as the defense attorney for Johnson, while Staci Pipkin represented Wyche.
At this time, no plea offers have been extended to either defendant. The prosecution stated they need to gain approval from the victim’s families before proceeding. For now, a five day trial is scheduled to start March 31.
