On Oct. 29, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland pushed back a trial for a 33-year-old murder defendant to next year.
Tyrone Bennett is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person and illegal possession of a regulated firearm in connection to an incident on Dec. 16, 2023.
The prosecution cited additional time needed to review case discovery. Bennett’s attorney, William Buie III, had no objection.
Judge Copeland scheduled the four-day trial to begin on Jan. 27.
