A 32-year-old woman rejected a plea deal for her involvement in a spring non-fatal shooting case before receiving a trial date in Baltimore City Circuit Court Oct. 10.
Kenyotta Wedington is charged with first- and second-degree assault, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person, firing and discharging a gun within the city of Baltimore, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property valued over $1,000 in connection to a March 4 incident.
The stand-in prosecutor offered Wedington a plea deal of eight years, suspending all but three years, with three years of supervised probation for first-degree assault. Stand-in defense attorney Daniel Mooney rejected the offer.
Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled Wedington’s two-day trial to begin on Jan. 16, 2025.
