On Oct. 6, at approximately 6:13 p.m., Eastern District officers responded to the 1200 block of East 25th Street for a fatal accident.
Upon arrival, officers were advised by witnesses that the 29-year-old operator of a dirt bike was riding and hit a tree. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
The Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
