In reference to the shooting of a 32-year-old male on the 200 block of South Broadway on Aug. 5, 2023, Baltimore Police Department investigators have arrested 21-year-old Jonathan Lopez of Martinsburg, W. Va.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to obtain video footage of the shooting, and with the assistance of the Martinsburg Police Department, positively identify Lopez as the shooter in the video.
On Dec. 7, 2023, Baltimore City Warrant Apprehension detectives were notified by Martinsburg Police Department of Lopez’s arrest on unrelated charges.
On Sept. 18, Lopez was extradited to Baltimore City and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
Lopez is currently being held without bail.
