In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Eastern District on Aug. 11, Baltimore Police Department investigators have arrested 24-year-old Shakur Eldridge of Baltimore.

Detectives learned the 18-year-old victim agreed to meet Eldridge on the 1800 block of North Caroline Street to purchase a vehicle after Eldridge posted it for sale on social media.

During a brief conversation with the victim, Eldridge withdrew a gun and demanded the victim’s property, shooting the victim in the foot.

On Aug. 27, detectives were able to positively identify Shakur Eldridge as the shooter and obtain an arrest warrant.

On Aug. 30, detectives arrested Eldridge without incident, transporting him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
