59-Year-Old Man in Critical Condition After Being Shot on Whitmore Avenue

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the early evening hours on March 2. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the 2500 block of Edmondson Avenue at approximately 5:45 p.m. for a shot spotter alert. Moments later, officers were called to an area hospital for reports of a walk-in shooting victim, where they found a 59-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The victim is in critical condition, said police. Detectives learned this incident occurred on the 600 block of Whitmore Avenue.
