A 34-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of a 22-year-old man on April 3.

The Baltimore Police Department reported the arrest of Karl Wallace, 34, exactly three days after the incident on the 2500 block of W. Patapsco Avenue around 11:18 p.m., where they found Troy Gross suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to Shock Trauma, where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives were able to interview several potential witnesses  and determined this homicide occurred as a result of a verbal dispute that escalated. Gunshots were exchanged between the suspect and the victim.

On April 6, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and on April 12 members of the Warrant Task Force arrested 34 year-old Karl Wallace in the 500 block of E. Baltimore Street without incident.

Following his arrest, Wallace was taken to Central Booking, where he has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and currently waiting to see a court commissioner.
