33-Year-Old Man Faces Attempted Murder Charges for April Shooting

A 33-year-old man was arrested on Sunday in connection to a shooting in the 5600 block of York Road in April.

According to a press release from the Baltimore Police Department,  Northern District officers were called to the scene around 6 p.m. on April 22 for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man, 32, with a gunshot wound to his back.

Police learned that the man went to a nearby business for help after being shot.

On May 23, a 33-year-old man, who is a resident of Baltimore, was arrested and taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility.

The suspect is currently charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, firearm use in a violent crime, reckless endangerment, having a handgun on his person, and having a loaded handgun on his person.

A preliminary hearing for the suspect is scheduled for June 23.
