31-Year-Old Woman Arrested in Mother’s Murder

A 31-year-old woman was arrested last week in connection to her mother’s murder in August.

The Baltimore Police Department reported that Toni Arnold was arrested and charged with first-degree murder on Sept. 10 after allegedly killing Sherry Birmingham, 48, nearly a month before.

According to a press release, police were called to the 2400 block of Washington Boulevard around 10 p.m. on Aug. 16 for reports of gunfire. Officers at the scene found Birmingham on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to Shock Trauma, where medics pronounced her dead.

During their investigation, detectives identified Arnold as the possible shooter and arrested her on Friday. Arnold is currently being held at Central Booking.
