A Baltimore man who was allegedly involved in a non-fatal shooting rejected a plea offer before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Kevin Julius, 31, is charged with first and second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, and use of a firearm in a violent crime in connection to an incident on May 27, 2020.
The prosecution presented a plea of 20 years with 3 years supervised probation for first-degree attempted murder.
Julius and his defense attorney Leslie Stein, rejected the plea. In addition, Julius decided to maintain his Hick’s date, which is his right to be tried within 180 days of his first court appearance.
Julius’ trial is scheduled for Jan. 21, 2022.
