A Baltimore woman charged with attempted murder rejected a plea offered by the prosecution on March 4 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Cierra Blake, 29, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, using a firearm during a violent crime, second-degree assault on a police officer, and illegal possession of a regulated firearm in connection to an incident that occurred on July 14, 2020.
During reception court on Friday, Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor offered a plea of 20 years with three years of supervised probation for attempted second-degree murder.
Blake and her defense attorney, Lawrence Rosenberg, a stand in on behalf of Michael Tomko, rejected the plea offer.
According to CBS Baltimore, officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of West Garrison Avenue to investigate a reported shooting on July 14, 2020 at 4:30p.m., where they found a 39-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
She was taken to a local hospital for treatment, said police.
Blake is scheduled to go to trial on Nov. 2.
