The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the early evening on April 9.
According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 300 block of South Monroe Street at approximately 5:15 p.m. to investigate a reported shooting, where they found a 29-year-old man suffering from a gunshot to the abdomen.
The medics took the victim to an area hospital.
Southern District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
