The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting in the early morning hours on April 15. 

According to a news release, patrol officers were called to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim around 12:30 a.m., where they found a 26-year-old woman suffering from an apparent gunshot to the right shoulder with non-life threatening injuries. 

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was walking in the area of Hilton and Baltimore Street when an unidentified male suspect attempted to rob her. The victim then attempted to flee when she was shot. The victim was able to drive herself to the hospital.
