The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the afternoon on Feb. 8.
According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 1300 block of North Fremont Avenue at approximately 2:27 p.m. for a shot spotter alert of shots being fired, where they found a 26-year-old Tyree Davis suffering from a gunshot wound.
The medics took the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
Homicide detectives assumed control over the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators , at 410-396-2100.
