On Nov. 20, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn scheduled a 28-year-old murder defendant’s next trial date after counsel were unable to begin a trial earlier this month.
Lexus Hart is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and firearm use in a felony violent crime in connection to a Jan. 30, 2022, incident.
The prosecutor and defense attorney Roland Harris told Judge Phinn that they had been scheduled for trial on Nov. 13, but were unable to get a full jury panel in place. Additionally, a witness was unexpectedly unable to come to court on that day.
Judge Phinn rescheduled Hart’s trial to begin on Jan. 25, 2024, before Judge Lawrence P. Fletcher-Hill.
