19-Year-Old Man Shot on Oakmont Avenue

The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting in the early morning hours on Feb. 1. 

According to a news release, officers were called to the 3500 block of Oakmont Avenue at approximately 12:49 a.m. for reports of shots being fired, where they found a 19-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot to the thigh. 

The medics took the victim to an area hospital for treatment. 

Eastern District detectives assumed control over the investigation after learning the shooting took place in the 700 block of Broadway.
