13-Year-Old Boy Injured in Southern District Shooting

On Feb. 20, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting investigation.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 13-year-old male victim who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the left inner thigh. He was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot while on the 1300 block of Hollins Street. He was transported to an area hospital by a family member.
