On Oct. 12, at approximately 6:01 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers patrolling the 5800 block of Belair Road encountered a vehicle accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, officers observed two vehicles involved in a collision. The operator of one vehicle, a 26-year-old male, suffered a non-life-threatening injury, and the operator of the other vehicle, a 60-year-old female, suffered life-threatening injuries. Medics transported the 60-year-old female to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where, despite life-saving measures, she was pronounced deceased.
The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) was summoned to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. The Medical Examiner’s Office was notified. Next-of-kin notifications will be made.
