Homicide defendant Quanshay Timmons will have her jury trial begin on June 12 in connection to an incident involving murder and child abuse in November 2021.
The 26-year-old defendant appeared in reception court before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn on Jan. 5 when her five-day trial was scheduled for this summer before Judge Lynn Mays. Timmons is facing charges of first-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in severe physical injury, and child abuse of a child under the age of 18.
During Thursday’s proceedings, the prosecution informed the court that no plea offer was currently on the table as the defendant allegedly made phone calls to the Baltimore Police to clarify details in the case. However, the prosecutor said she was unaware of the nature of those details.
Timmons was represented by defense attorney Jason Rodriguez.
