On April 2, attempted murder defendant Mandakova Clark received a July trial date from Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland.

Clark, 41, is currently charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use in a felony violent crime, having an unregistered rifle or shotgun, discharging a gun in Baltimore City and malicious destruction of property valued up to $1,000 in connection to an Aug. 24, 2023, incident.

Clark was originally scheduled for trial on Tuesday but her defense attorney, Brandon Taylor, requested a postponement. The prosecution was not opposed, and Judge Copeland scheduled Clark for a three-day trial starting on July 8 with Judge Lawrence P. Fletcher-Hill presiding.

According to documents from the District Court of Maryland, on Aug. 24, 2023, Baltimore Police Department (BPD) officers went to the 4300 block of Belvieu Avenue in response to gunshots.

The victim arrived at the scene to pick up her young child when Clark stepped outside of the home and allegedly shot at her with a long rifle.

The victim was uninjured, but her car suffered damage.
