Western District Murder Defendant Appears In Reception

A 36-year-old murder defendant, represented by attorney May Hanna, appeared in reception court before Baltimore City Circuit Judge Judge Melissa K. Copeland on Nov.15.  

Munir Dawan Matin is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, fire and discharge any gun, illegal possession of ammunition and other gun-related charges for an incident on June 2.

According to court documents, the incident occurred at the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where Matin allegedly shot 32-year-old Terrell Johnson-Smith. Matin is also accused of shooting 34-year-old Jarmal Harrid on the same day, on the 500 block of West Mulberry Street.

Before the Baltimore City Circuit Judge Melissa K. Copeland, Tony Stewart decided to have a jury trial on Feb 25. before Jennifer Bridget Schiffer
