In reference to the homicide that occurred on Aug. 31, in the Northeast District, investigators have arrested 32-year-old Kyle Cooper from Baltimore.
Investigators learned that the Cooper shot and killed 66-year-old Eric Gill on the 6100 block of Edlynne Road.
Detectives arrested Cooper on Sept. 19 and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with first-degree murder.
On Aug. 31, at approximately 6:21 a.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 6100 block of Edlynne Road for a report of a male lying in the street.
Once there, Baltimore Police Department officers located an adult male, later identified as Gill, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Medics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
