A partially blind shooting victim testified during a jury trial on July 18 in Baltimore City Circuit Court.

Terrell Parker, 27, allegedly attempted to murder the victim in April 2023 on the 1700 block of Normal Avenue by shooting the victim in the eye.

Parker is charged with 12 counts: attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, firearm usage in a felony violent crime, reckless endangerment, two counts of illegal possession of a regulated firearm, having a loaded handgun on his person, carrying a handgun on his person, illegal possession of ammunition and discharging a firearm within 100 yards of the public.

“Being shot where I was is hard because I’m blind in one eye,” the victim said. “It’s like having a curtain covering your vision.”

The prosecution said the victim’s injury is something horrible no one should have to go through and that Parker must be found guilty on all charges in order to give the victim justice.

Parker’s defense attorney, Donald Wright, agreed with the prosecution that what happened to the victim was horrible, but said there was no proof that it was actually Parker who shot him.

Parker’s case was heard in front of Judge Troy K. Hill.
