The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the evening of July 30.
According to a news release, officers were called to the 2000 block of Maryland Avenue around 8:10 p.m. for reports of a shooting, where an unknown man attempted to take a security officer’s weapon. After a brief struggle, the security officer gained control of the weapon and fired at the male.
The male fled the scene and walked into a local hospital for treatment. The male suffered a graze wound to the abdomen. Police responded to the hospital and have the male in custody.
Northern District Shooting detectives have assumed control over the investigation.
