Suspect Who Allegedly Fired on Police Arrested

On Feb. 18, 2024, members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested 41-year-old Terrance Hazelwood in reference to the shooting and discharging that occurred in the Western District on Feb. 16 on the 1300 block of Laurens Street. 

Detectives believe that Hazelwood shot a 31-year-old male and fired at officers who were responding to the scene of the shooting.

Detectives transported Hazelwood to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder and additional charges.
