The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an arrest in a Southwest District fatal shooting.
On March 6, at approximately 12:55 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to the 700 block of Yale Avenue to investigate a reported shooting incident.
Upon arrival, officers located Taijah Addison, 27, seated inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. Addison was pronounced deceased by medics at the scene.
On March 7, BPD announced the arrest of 27-year-old Matthew Crawley in the 500 block of Yale Avenue after reviewing area video surveillance footage.
Crawley was taken to the Central Booking & Intake Center, where he was charged with first-degree murder.
