Southwest Detectives Launch Investigation into Wilkens Avenue Non-Fatal Shooting

On March 27, at approximately 6:45 p.m., Southwest District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were dispatched to investigate a call for a reported shooting in the 2100 block of Wilkens Avenue.

Officers responded to the location and observed a 31-year-old male inside of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Southwest District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation.
