Southern District Detectives Announce Shooting Upgrade to Homicide Investigation

On June 28, at approximately 8:57 p.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of West Patapsco Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed 38-year-old Frissell Townes Jr. suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics responded and transported the victim to an area hospital to receive treatment for his injury. Despite life-saving measures, Townes succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
