Homicide Trial for 19-Year-Old Baltimore Man Begins

On June 21, at the beginning of a homicide trial, the prosecution opened arguments by saying the incident was no accident before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Videtta Brown.  Baltimore resident Deshon Walker is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, five counts of use of a firearm during a violent crime, three counts of reckless endangerment from a car, two counts of first-degree attempted murder, two counts of conspiracy to first-degree murder, possession of a firearm as a minor, having a loaded handgun in a vehicle, two counts of attempted armed robbery, and three counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection to the murder of 18-year-old Riyad Campbell on the 2400 block of Tolley Street after the robbery of a large group of people.  During opening statements, the prosecutor argued about the defendant’s ill intentions while driving around on the night of the incident and ended his statements concluding this was no accident.  Tony Garcia, representing Walker, 19, opened his statements by indicating the security camera footage and the cellular analysis report will speak for themselves.
