Attempted Murder Trial Postponed Due to Health Issues

An attempted murder trial for a Baltimore man was postponed due to health concerns for both the defendant and his lawyer.  Reginald Whitaker, 29, is facing charges of attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, armed robbery, robbery, theft less than $100, firearm use in felony violent crime, carrying a loaded handgun on his person, firearm possession with felony conviction, firing and discharging a gun and illegal possession of ammunition in connection to an attempted murder and robbery on June 27, 2023.  The trial, previously set to start June 3, was moved to June 4, after the defendant ingested an unknown substance and was sent for medical evaluation. Murder Trial Postponed Due to Defendant’s Medical Condition

A murder trial for a Baltimore County man was postponed due to his medical condition and new evidence.  Kharod O’Neill, 19, of Owings Mills, Md., is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a violent crime and having a loaded handgun in his vehicle and on his person for the death of 20-year-old Jriley Downs on July 3, 2023.  O’Neill was late to his scheduled jury trial on June 3 after taking an unknown substance and sent for medical evaluation. Dog Fight Murder Defendant Guilty, Jury Decides

A Baltimore City Circuit Court jury convicted a murder defendant accused of killing a man after a neighborhood dog fight.  Tyyea Gee, 39, was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime and firearm possession with a felony conviction on April 26 for the shooting death of 37-year-old Ronnie Gibson.
