In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Central District on Jan. 4, Baltimore Police Department investigators have arrested 24-year-old Tanare Williams of Capital Heights, Md.
Investigators learned that Williams fatally shot 31-year-old Antoine Johnson during an altercation on the unit block of North Eutaw Street.
On Jan. 22, Warrant Apprehension detectives assigned to the USMS Taskforce, with the assistance of CARFTF Greenbelt, took Tanare Williams into custody and transported him to Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder.
On Jan. 4, at approximately 12:09 a.m., while on routine patrol, a Central District officer was advised by a citizen of a shooting victim on the unit block of North Eutaw Street.
Once there, officers located Johnson suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.
