The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Northwest District.
On Dec. 17, at approximately 2:37 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to the 4600 block of Haddon Avenue for a report of a shooting.
Officers located a 51-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigation revealed that an armed suspect approached the victim at a gas station on the 4600 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. The victim attempted to flee from the suspect, who demanded the victim's property and then shot the victim.
