Police Arrest Suspect in Russell Street Shooting

The Southern District of the Baltimore Police Department have arrested a suspect allegedly connected to a shooting on Oct. 17.

On Oct. 24, at approximately 10:37 a.m., investigators arrested 31-year-old Kevia Purnell of Baltimore while on the 1800 block of North Hilton Street, without incident.

Purnell was transported to Central Booking Intake Facility where she has been charged with attempted first degree murder.

Detectives believe Purnell shot the 30-year-old male victim following a dispute on the 1500 block of Russell Street.
