On Dec. 19, a 20-year-old man accused of homicide was set for trial in July 2023.
Isaiah Bell, of the Penn North neighborhood, is charged with first-degree murder and firearm use in a felony violent crime for an incident on April 19. He was recently denied bail in September due to the seriousness of the allegations.
During reception court Monday, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn scheduled Bell for trial on July 31, 2023, after counsel informed the court that no plea offer was currently on the table. The trial is expected to last four days.
Bell is represented by defense attorney Andrea Jaskulsky as of Dec. 22, according to the Maryland Judiciary website.
