From June 17- June 19, Baltimore City experienced 11 shooting incidents involving six homicides and 5 non-fatal shootings. There were also 28 confirmed robberies.

The Baltimore Police Department reported that there were three attempted murder arrests, one robbery arrest and 10 handgun arrests. There were eight notable warrants served from June 17-19, including one aggravated assault, four assault and one robbery.

The BPD has increased its patrol presence in high-crime areas and is focusing all available resources to address violent crime trends.

“We encourage anyone with information to come forward. More often than people realize, it’s the citizens working with investigators who can turn an investigation around quickly,” said Commissioner Michael Harrison.

The BPD also worked in close collaboration with our law enforcement partners in supporting and monitoring large scale events, including the AFRAM Festival at Druid Hill Park. There were no reported major incidents related to that festival for the entire weekend.

Anyone with information related to a crime is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LockUp or contact our Homicide Unit at 410-396-2100.
