On Oct. 30, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a Baltimore Police Department officer was advised of a pedestrian-involved crash on the 2500 block of Orleans Street while on routine patrol.

Once there, officers located a 16-year-old Khaleel Jones, unresponsive, lying in the street.

Patrol officers along with a citizen immediately began rending aid to the victim until medics arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he later died.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was not struck by a vehicle but was shot by an unidentified suspect while on the 4600 block of Bowleys Lane. The victim was then driven to the 2500 block of Orleans Street, where he was located by police.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
