The trial for homicide defendant Kevin Dudley was postponed before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn on Oct. 31, when he was originally scheduled for trial.

Dudley has his trial pushed back due to more time needed for DNA analysis.

According to the Baltimore Police Department, Dudley was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Kozee Spriggs on 1300 block of Ensor Street.

Dudley’s new trial date is set for June 5, 2023, with Judge Jeffrey M. Gellar presiding.
