Man Charged with Murdering High School Student Offered Plea

A Baltimore man accused of murdering an 18-year-old girl last summer was offered a plea deal Jan. 31 in Baltimore City Circuit Court. 

Kevin Dudley, 39, is facing two counts of first-degree murder, as well as firearm charges for use during a felony violent crime and possession by a convicted felon. 

He was charged with murder following the discovery of Kozee Spriggs body June 15, 2021, on the 1300 block of Ensor Street. She had been reported missing by her mother a week prior, according to Fox 45

Dudley was offered a plea of life for count one of first-degree murder and 20 years without parole for firearm use. The sentences would run concurrently. 

No decision was made regarding the plea. 

Dudley will return to court on Feb. 23 after the defense has had time to review the prosecution’s discovery.
