Out of 33 homicide and non-fatal shooting plea offers reported in June, approximately 66.7 percent were accepted by defendants.
According to Baltimore Witness, the plea offer carrying the heftiest jail time was accepted by homicide defendant Anthony Sellers for life plus 60 years in prison for first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Ronald Laws. Sellers also received a concurrent 10 years for firearm use during a felony violent crime.
Last month, 11 defendants also rejected plea offers.
