Juvenile Person of Interest in Custody in Relation to Gretna Court Shooting

On July 7, at approximately 7:00 a.m., members of the homicide and SWAT team arrested a 17-year-old male, following a search warrant on a residence.

Detectives believe that the 17-year-old male was involved in the mass shooting that occurred in the 800 block of Gretna Court, on July 2.

Detectives transported the 17-year-old to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he is being charged with possession of a firearm by a minor, assault weapon possession, reckless endangerment and handgun in vehicle.  

Three victims remain at local hospitals, with all of them listed in fair condition.

This is still an open and ongoing investigation.
