Tayvon Miller, 38, was convicted for murdering Frissel Townes, Jr. before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Alan C. Lazerow.

The 38-year-old victim was helping a woman deliver a Doordash order on June 28, 2023, when Miller fatally shot him on the 2600 block of West Patapsco Avenue.

Cell phone evidence presented at trial indicated that the defendant was friends with the woman, who was working with the police after the shooting unbeknownst to Miller. However, the woman refused to testify against her friend, and no other witnesses to the shooting were ever located.

On March 7, the jury delivered a guilty verdict on four charges total including first-degree murder, armed robbery, firearm use in a felony violent crime and firearm possession with a felony conviction.

Miller, represented by James Sweeting III, is scheduled to be sentenced on May 24.
