Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland postponed 28-year-old murder defendant Omar Passmore’s jury trial on March 24.
Judge Copeland rescheduled Passmore’s jury trial for June 24. He will be represented by defense attorney Jason P. Rodriquez and will stand before Judge McBride.
According to court documents, Passmore stands accused of fatally shooting and killing 12-year-old Breaunna Cormley on July 19, 2024, on the 500 block of North Kenwood Avenue. He is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony or violent crime, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, and violating protective order.
The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) arrived at the scene and observed the victim suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Cormley was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving measures.
On July 21, BPD located and arrested Passmore in Baltimore County.
