A defendant’s case was postponed on Nov. 22 to give him time to review a plea offer and attend a violation of probation hearing on Nov. 23.

The 26-year-old Baltimore resident is charged with drug possession with the intent to distribute, drug distribution with a firearm, having a handgun on his person, and discharging firearms in connection to an incident on March 3, 2021.

Before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn on Monday, the defendant and his defense attorney, Koryn High, requested a postponement so the defendant could review the prosecution’s plea offer of three years, suspending all but the 250 days and three years probation for having a handgun on his person. Under the plea deal, the defendant must also register as a gun offender.

The defendant’s case is scheduled to return to reception court on Nov. 23.
