On Feb. 3, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer denied bail to a Baltimore man facing homicide charges.

William Holloman, who’s first trial ended in a mistrial in December 2022, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and the use of a firearm during a felony violent crime in connection to the fatal shooting of 38-year-old Clark Hohrein, alongside his co-defendant Darrell Parker on July 1, 2021.

According to a news release, on the day of the incident officers were called to the 600 block of W. Mulberry Street for reports of a shooting. On arrival, officers found Hohrein suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

During Friday’s hearing, defense attorney Robert Linthicum indicated that his 17-year-old client had additional charges pending against him and would soon be transferred to an adult prison.

Linthicum requested that the defendant be released to home detention while he awaited retrial.

The prosecutor responded by recommending that the defendant be denied bail due to him previously cutting off his monitor on home detention, which led him to receive another gun charge.

Holloman’s next hearing is set for Feb. 27 with Judge Melissa Phinn presiding.
