On Aug. 14, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lynn S. Mays sent two codefendants’ homicide cases to reception court where it was continued until September.
Prosecutors requested a Baltimore City homicide case be postponed because the prosecutor had a family emergency.
Defendant Al Brown’s attorney George P. Harris objected saying that his client has been incarcerated since 2021.
Defendant Bolondalay Banks‘ attorney Julie Shapiro also objected asserting her client’s right to a speedy trial. Judge Melissa M. Phinn continued the hearing to Sept. 22 for scheduling.
Brown, 36, and Banks, 40, are charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and having a loaded gun on their person.
According to charging statements, on Oct. 7 2021, police officers responded to a shooting on 1700 Milton Avenue. Upon Arrival, police officers located 28-years-old Brioanna Glasglow who was pronounced dead at the scene and another victim who was transported to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the head. Police officers arrested Banks and Brown after speaking to witnesses.
