On Oct. 3, a Baltimore man had his homicide trial scheduled for February 2023 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Ronnie Harris Jr rejected a plea of life for first-degree murder; 20 years with the first five years without parole for use of a firearm during a felony violent crime, the charges are set to run concurrently.
Harris, 39, is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a felony violent, having a handgun on his person, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, and induce inhibit testimony with felony offense in connection to an incident on Jan. 31.
According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the unit block of Morris Road at Franklintown at approximately 1:51 a.m. for reports of shots being fired. At the scene police found Morris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Harris’ trial is scheduled for Feb. 28, 2023 with Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer presiding.
