On March 20, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn postponed the hearing of a murder defendant known for their role in the HBO series “Charm City Kings.”

Defendant Lakeyria Doughty is facing charges of first-degree murder and the use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure in connection to the murder of her girlfriend, 33- year-old Tiffany Wilson, on New Year’s Day in 2021.

Doughty, 28, had a mistrial in June 2022 because there was evidence of both women fighting, corroborating Doughty’s story of the night.

During Monday’s heading the prosecution asked Judge Phinn for more time to prepare the case because the original prosecutor recently left the State’s Attorney’s Office. Doughty’s case has already experienced a postponement in early February of this year.

Judge Phinn granted the prosecution more time and postponed the trial until Sept. 8.
